2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL Stretches the Definition of Full-Size EV
Since the gasoline-powered Cadillac Escalade offers an extended-wheelbase variant, it only made sense that its fully electric counterpart would do the same. The brand new 2026 Escalade IQL is aimed at customers who need an even roomier full-size electric SUV.
There’s around 10 cm of extra legroom and 2.5 cm of extra headroom in the third row. Meanwhile, trunk space expands marginally, from 670 to 686 litres, but when you fold all the rear seats, total cargo capacity increases to 3,546 litres instead of 3,375 litres in the standard Escalade IQ.

An Executive Second Row Package is once again available, featuring heated, ventilated and massaging seats with 14-way power adjustment and headrest speakers, plus stowable tray tables, 12.6-inch entertainment displays, an 8-inch rear command screen, and dual wireless charging pads for smartphones.
In the first row, the main highlight remains the curved, pillar-to-pillar 55-inch display (this time showing Escalade IQL graphics). The AKG Studio sound system features 21, 38 or 42 speakers (!) depending on the trim level.
Same Design and Powertrain
Physically and aesthetically, the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL is identical to the standard-wheelbase variant except for the longer body and slightly boxier rear end. The 24-inch wheels return, complete with Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 technology and adaptive air suspension for maximum ride quality. As for the front trunk, it’s still rated at 345 litres.
The motors draw energy from the same 200kWh battery, while power and torque are unchanged at 680 hp and 615 lb-ft—or 750 hp and 785 lb-ft in Velocity Max (launch control) mode. Similarly, range is estimated at 724 km. In fact, the only difference with regard to performance can be found in the towing capacity, which drops from 8,000 lbs to 7,500 lbs.
The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL will enter production in mid-2025 at GM’s Factory ZERO in Detroit, with deliveries to follow later in the year. Pricing starts at $132,695 in the U.S., making it roughly 4 percent more expensive than the shorter Escalade IQ.
Canadian prices will be announced later, but as a reminder, the 2025 Escalade IQ retails from $163,233 including all applicable fees and the federal luxury tax.
