Three New Nissan SUVs Among Stars of 2025 Montreal Auto Show
The 2025 Montreal Auto Show at Palais des congrès features a trio of new Nissan SUVs, two of which are making their official Canadian debut.
The struggling Japanese automaker, which recently launched merger talks with Honda in a bid to save itself, is banking on them to find new momentum and success. However, with no hybrid options and prices that aren’t exactly competitive, that’s asking a lot from them.

2025 Nissan Murano

The fourth-generation Murano, which is arriving in dealerships real soon, is radically transformed from a design standpoint and uses the all-electric Ariya as inspiration. It’s packed with the latest tech and makes a key change under the hood, replacing the aging 3.5-litre V6 with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine featuring a variable-compression turbocharger. The same unit can be found in Infiniti's QX50 and QX55.

2025 Nissan Kicks

Prefer a small crossover? The Kicks received a whole new look, new technologies, an increase in power (thanks to the discontinued Qashqai) and optional all-wheel drive for 2025. It looks nothing like its predecessor, which sticks around as the rebadged Kicks Play for budget-conscious drivers, by the way. A great-sounding audio system and class-leading cargo space are also part of the mix. Alas, these changes have substantially bumped the price.
Here are 5 things we like and 5 things we don’t like about the new 2025 Kicks.
2025 Nissan Armada

At the other end of the lineup, the Armada full-size SUV is also debuting a new generation for 2025. On sale since last month, it offers unprecedented off-road capability in new PRO-4X trim, impressive towing capacity of up to 8,500 lbs, an ultra-comfortable interior with standard massaging seats, and 24 percent extra cargo space behind the third row.
Crucially, too, the aging V8 has been replaced by a twin-turbocharged V6. Take a look at our 2025 Armada review to read our first driving impressions and more.
