Ralliart Closing Down

It’s a simple fact that most manufacturers have an in-house tuning shop these days. Be it M, AMG, Quattro, or SVT, they're a simple way for manufacturers to keep their enthusiasts happy while simultaneously advancing their technologies. But, while most manufacturers proudly flaunt their performance arms, Mitsubishi’s always kept their Ralliart shop relatively low-key. Although earning their stripes by doing work on Mitsu’s various factory race cars and trucks, Ralliart has also been responsible for such notable roadgoing vehicles as the indomitable Evo.

But apparently, the recession has hit Mitsubishi’s little-known performance vehicle division like a right hook from Mike Tyson, and the whole shebang is going down. Closing their doors for good, Ralliart will no longer be supplying any of their various go-fast aftermarket goodies, but will apparently continue to provide Mitsubishi with the vehicles that bare their red and yellow badge; namely the Evo and Lancer Ralliart line.
