Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition Ready to Wreck What its Name Says

Two weeks before the reveal of the fully electric Ram 1500 Revolution concept at CES in Las Vegas, here comes a flashier take on the ultimate expression of Ram’s full-size pickup.

The new 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition arrives as a top-line addition to the Ram 1500 lineup and a replacement for the equally ostentatious Ignition Edition that was launched for the 2022 model year only. It features a unique combination of styling elements, accents and amenities.

Based on the Ram 1500 TRX with the Level 2 Equipment Group (which is a $9,000 option, by the way), this truck screams for attention with a unique Baja Yellow body colour, graphics on the bedsides and bead lock-capable 18-inch wheels in a black finish.

A dual-pane panoramic sunroof, spray-in bedliner, cargo tie-downs, bed step and cab-mounted LED brake light complete the exterior.

The cabin stands out with Prowler Yellow accent stitching, embroidered “TRX” seatback logos, as well as a unique centre console badge and carbon fibre accents.

In front of the leather and carbon fibre flat-bottom steering wheel is a driver’s screen that features a Ram 1500 TRX in Baja Yellow, naturally.

As you can see, it’s mostly for show, although Ram made sure to throw in a few convenience items. There are no changes to the supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8, which continues to put out 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

The 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition will be available in very limited quantities starting early in the first quarter of next year. The company hasn’t specified exactly how many units it will build. Canadian pricing is set at $129,875 plus $2,795 destination.

This is obviously a good step above the standard TRX, yet more than $20,000 cheaper than its closest competitor, the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R.
