Porsche Adds Style Edition to 718 Models for 2023

Two sports cars praised for their handling dynamics will get an extra dose of style for the 2023 model year. The Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman each gain a new Style Edition due to arrive in Canada next year.

The new models are characterized by special colours and matching contrasting elements for drivers who want to stand out. This is particularly evident with the Ruby Star Neo colour, which is a modern interpretation of the Ruby Star hue used on the 964 Carrera RS.

Regardless of the exterior colour, the Style Edition comes with 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels in high-gloss black that carry coloured Porsche crests. However, two optional contrast packages are also available—one in black, and one in white. Both include decorative stripes on the hood, “PORSCHE” logos on the side, while the wheels and rear model designation are painted in black or white high-gloss.

Other exterior highlights include black sport tailpipes, high-gloss silver “PORSCHE” script on the rear, and in the case of the convertible, “Boxster” model designations embossed into the soft top above the side windows.

Much more subtle, the interior is distinguished by a leather package in black with contrasting stitching in Chalk (white), illuminated stainless steel doorsill guards and Porsche crests embossed on the headrests. The new Style Edition also get a heated, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and floor mats with contrasting stitching in Chalk as standard equipment.

The only powertrain available here is the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder Boxer engine developing 300 hp and 280 lb-ft. of torque. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is achieved in 5.1 seconds. When equipped with the optional seven-speed PDK and Sport Chrono Package, this time drops to 4.7 seconds.

Porsche says it will share detailed information on Canadian pricing and dealer arrival timing closer to market availability and start of ordering next year.
