You Can Still Find A Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Under $10,000!

Despite the significant increase in pre-owned vehicles’ prices, don’t worry, it’s still possible to find bargains. It might require you to search harder and revise your priorities, but all hope is not lost.

In a previous article, we explained to you what a certified pre-owned vehicle is, and gave you three good reasons to buy one.

In short, a certified pre-owned vehicle is typically a recent model (less than four years old) that has low mileage, has undergone a comprehensive inspection before being put up for sale, and comes with a new manufacturer’s warranty beyond the original warranty period. In addition, this often comes with other perks, like an exchange privilege, or free roadside assistance.

On the other hand, some rarer models are likely to be harder to find, and the price of these cars and trucks is generally higher compared to ones sold by private individuals.

That being said, if we come back to our main subject, is it still possible to buy a certified pre-owned car for less than $10,000? The answer is yes.

When browsing Otogo.ca, you’ll see hundreds of vehicles for sale in that price range, and among them, more than a dozen will be labelled as certified pre-owned. For those who like math, they represent about 3% of the listings.

Most of them are compact cars with less than 10 years of age and include popular models like the Hyundai Elantra, the Subaru Impreza, the Volkswagen Golf and the Chevrolet Cruze. Toyota, which often has a higher resale value than the majority—even for sub-compacts—, can also be found with Yaris and Corolla examples.

In conclusion, even with a small budget, you can still get your hands on a quality used vehicle nowadays.
