Volkswagen ID.Buzz Interior Leaked Ahead of World Premiere

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz will make its highly anticipated global debut in production trim in just over a month—March 9 to be exact—but pictures of the interior have now leaked online.

The shots you see here were posted on a private Facebook page before being quickly removed, though someone managed to save them for the benefit of everybody.

Unsurprisingly, the cockpit is very similar to that of the ID.4 crossover including the multi-function steering wheel, minimalist digital instrument cluster and large touchscreen next to it. The centre console is slightly revised to incorporate more storage and extra cup holders.

The front seats are sculpted a bit differently, most likely to accommodate larger drivers and increase comfort. However, they retain the folding centre armrests.

Sliding doors provide access to the second row, where the seats fold flat. Folding tables are mounted to the back of the front seats—perfect for eating snacks, drawing or playing games. By the way, since the high-voltage battery is located under the vehicle, you can’t have seats that drop into the floor like Chrysler’s Stow n’ Go system.

Another picture (the one up top) shows the third-row bench also folding flat with the cargo floor—or rather the cargo shelf as there seems to be another cargo area beneath. The bench doesn’t have split-folding seatbacks, mind you. A cargo cover is included.

Come back on March 9 for more details and pictures of the production Volkswagen ID.Buzz. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to get all the latest on Volkswagen.
