Land Rover Defender Bond Edition is Inspired by “No Time to Die”

This time it’s for real. No more postponements. The next James Bond movie, No Time to Die, will finally hit theatres in October. Can you believe it?

One of the stars alongside 007 will be the new Land Rover Defender, so the automaker decided to mark the occasion by creating a Bond Edition that’s inspired by the vehicles in the movie.

Only 300 units will be built for the entire planet, so good luck getting your hands on one. Those headed to North America will be available exclusively in the four-door Defender 110 body style with the new-for-2022 V8 engine. That’s a good thing because the latter cranks output up to 518 horsepower along with 461 pound-feet of torque—enough to reach 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

Naturally, the exterior is all black (except for the Xenon Blue brake callipers) with 22-inch glossy black wheels. The unique Defender 007 badge on the rear hatch, 007 puddle lamps and Defender 007 illuminated sill plates are some nice touches, as well.

Meanwhile, every unit will receive a “One of 300” etching in the cabin, plus a specially developed 007 touchscreen start-up animation for the Pivi Pro infotainment system.

Land Rover set the base price of the 2022 Defender V8 Bond Edition at $115,950, not counting the many options and packages that can be added to the mix. No weapons or gadgets are included, unfortunately.
