2022 Genesis GV70 Canadian Pricing to Start at $49,000

Another player is about to step into the crowded ring of compact luxury SUVs. The all-new 2022 Genesis GV70 will likely become the young Korean brand’s best-selling model when it goes on sale in Canada in the second half of this year.

Guess what? The GV70 will start at $49,000, a figure that is even more impressive when you consider that it includes complimentary scheduled maintenance with Service Valet, Genesis Connected Services, map updates and more for five years or 100,000 kilometres.

In Canada, the 2022 GV70 comes standard with all-wheel drive, a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower—more than any competitor in base trim—and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The available twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 generates 375 horsepower.

Here’s how the lineup is arranged:

The GV70 also stands out with an exceptional interior environment where the unique combination of colours and materials almost feels like a Bentley—no kidding. The ultra-wide 14.5-inch centre display is impossible to miss, either.

"The first-ever Genesis GV70 presents customers with a bold and dynamic crossover offering," said Mark Del Rosso, President & CEO of Genesis Motor North America. "With its distinct exterior design, powerful stance, and refined performance, GV70 perfectly blends athleticism and refined driving performance with the versatility of an SUV that only Genesis can offer."

Of course, challenging popular products such as the Acura RDXAudi Q5BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Lexus NX will be extremely hard, but the Genesis GV70 brings outstanding value and refinement to the table, so don’t sleep on it.
