The Car Guide’s 2020 Best Buys: Toyota Camry
Every year, The Car Guide publishes its Best Buys in nearly 30 different vehicle categories. Today we continue our review of the 2020 winners with a look at midsize sedans, where a new world order has been established.
The Toyota Camry (MSRP from $26,620) deserves top honours this year in our opinion.

Surprisingly cheaper than some of its key competitors, the Camry impresses with its overall balance, powerful gasoline engines (203 and 301 horsepower), super-thrifty hybrid model (4.9 L/100 km combined) and outstanding reliability.
Styling is not too shabby, either, especially in new TRD or Nightshade edition, comfort is obviously very generous and the multimedia system has been enhanced. Let’s not forget Toyota Safety Sense P, a suite of advanced systems that includes pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection.
And starting this spring, the Camry will even be available with all-wheel drive!
In second place among midsize sedans is the Nissan Altima (MSRP from $28,098). Redesigned for 2019, it boasts a number of great attributes such as eye-catching looks, standard all-wheel drive, a fuel-efficient powertrain and a roomy and attractive interior that can be equipped with a long list of desirable features.
Rounding out the podium is the Honda Accord (MSRP from $28,490), which won our Best Buy award last year. It stands out not only with its powerful, yet fuel-efficient powertrains, but also with its slightly sporty road manners that sacrifice nothing in terms of ride quality. It’s a highly refined and spacious sedan that also includes a user-friendly infotainment system.
