Porsche Adds Macan GTS to 2020 Lineup

Following the addition of the Macan Turbo this summer, Porsche is now completing the lineup with the new 2020 Macan GTS. This model launches with a powerful engine, performance-oriented chassis, sporty design cues and enhanced equipment.

Let’s start with the twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6, which now delivers 375 horsepower from 5,200-6,700 rpm and teams up with a newly adapted PDK dual-clutch transmission. Peak torque is rated at 383 pound-feet from 1,750-5,000 rpm. Together with the optional Sport Chrono package, the Macan GTS can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, three tenths faster than before. It has a top speed of 261 km/h.

Next, the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damping control system has been specially tuned and the chassis has been lowered by 15 millimetres for greater lateral dynamics. Buyers can also select an adaptive air suspension that lowers the ride height by a further 10 millimetres.

Slowing the standard 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels are a set of cast iron brakes (360 mm front, 330 mm rear), though upgraded braking systems are available including the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB).

Aesthetically, the Macan GTS boasts new front and rear trim and striking side skirts. Black-painted elements emphasize its sporty character from nose to tail.

Inside, you’ll fund exclusive sport seats with eight-way adjustment and pronounced side bolsters, high-quality materials such as Alcantara on the seat centre panels, the centre console armrests and door panels, plus a multifunction sport steering wheel. The available Carmine Red leather upholstery is particularly attractive.

And of course a host of advanced safety and driver assistance systems can be had with this sporty SUV, such as Traffic Jam Assist and Park Assist.

The new 2020 Porsche Macan GTS is available to order now. In Canada, pricing starts at $77,100 before you add taxes, freight and delivery.
