Canadian Premiere: 2018 Hyundai Accent 5-Door is a Go for Canada

The Hyundai Accent 5-Door is exclusive to the Canadian market. Sorry, U.S.A., this car won’t be available south of the border. Truth be told, hatchbacks have never been popular there anyway. Frankly, it’s their loss! They’re missing out on a very versatile car. Nearly eight inches shorter than the Accent sedan, the 5-Door remains very roomy thanks to its 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks. As with the sedan, the 5-Door will have a 1.6L four-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower and 119 lb.-ft. of torque. The 5-Door will be available in the basic (meaning least expensive) L trim, which is not offered for the sedan.
