Canadian Premiere: 2019 Volkswagen Jetta Gets a More Dynamic Design (At Last!)

The Jetta, one of the most popular compact sedans in Canada, will be treated to a full overhaul for 2019. Its lines will be distinctly more dynamic, as revealed by the official photos that Volkswagen released moments before this magazine went to press. The 2019 version will be built on the popular and successful MQB modular platform (seen in the Golf, Tiguan and Atlas). It will still be powered by the same 1.4L four-cylinder turbo that generates 150 horsepower and 184 lbs.-ft. of torque. The transmissions include a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.
