The Car Guide Celebrates Its 2018 Best Buys
Yesterday, The Car Guide team gave away trophies to celebrate its 2018 Best Buys as it was unveiled in the Le Guide de l’auto 2018, and on The Car Guide website. This year, the event took place during a ceremony in Toronto.
A Diversified Market
The automotive industry has never been so diversified. This year, we count no less than 27 different vehicle categories. Each of these vehicles was evaluated by our team of journalists in order to determine which one is the best purchase in their respective segments. A prize was also given out for Best New Design. This year, it was the Volvo S90/V90 that won the prize.

Each vehicle was evaluated following six criteria: fuel economy, reliability, safety, infotainment, fun to drive, and general appreciation.
That being said, two important trophies were kept for last; Best New Car of the Year and Best New Utility Vehicle of the Year. It was the 2018 Honda Accord and 2018 Audi Q5 that took the prizes home.
