2017 World Car Awards: Finalists Announced

For the fourth year in a row, in terms of media reach, the World Car Awards have been ranked as the number one automotive awards program in world. Its jury of 75 automotive journalists spread across the planet, including two from Canada, have chosen the finalists in six different categories.

In the overall World Car of the Year category, the finalists are:

In the World Performance Car of the Year category, the finalists are:

Aston Martin DB11
Audi R8 Spyder
Honda/Acura NSX
McLaren 570S
Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman

In the World Green Car of the Year category, the finalists are:

Chevrolet Bolt EV
Honda Clarity Fuel Cell
Hyundai Ioniq
Tesla Model X
Toyota Prius Prime

In the World Urban Car of the Year category, the finalists are:

The top three finalists in each category will be revealed at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show on March 7. As usual, the overall winners will be announced at the New York Auto Show, which will happen on April 13.
