The Car Guide visits the Paris Auto Show

This week, we’re heading to the city of love, not because we’re necessarily the romantic types, but for the affection of the automobile.

The Paris Auto Show, called the Mondial de l’automobile, will be chock full of new-vehicle introductions. A brand-new generation of the Kia Rio subcompact will appear, while a totally redesigned Hyundai i30 will also be presented, known in North America as the Hyundai Elantra GT. The official, final, production version of the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback will also be on display, as will the new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman.

Luxury brands will also be well represented in Paris, with the introduction of the all-new Audi Q5 crossover, the Ferrari GTCLusso T, the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster.

Treehuggers will be glad to know that the Mondial de l’automobile will also host several EV introductions. The smart fortwo electric drive and a brand-new Volkswagen EV will be unveiled to the world, looking for love in a world filled with high-horsepower sports cars and off-roading SUVs.

We’ll have plenty of stuff for you in the next few days, so stay tuned.
