Praise the Sun: Here is the Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport

If you want your new Ram 1500 to stand out from the rest, you could use a few different tricks: you might want to lift it by a few centimetres and fit it with a set of rims (however, be warned this will make you join the ranks of a few thousand "special" owners), cover it with stickers or paint it a unique colour. Sadly, most of these changes ruin the resale value if done incorrectly.

If you want to make sure to never lose your new Ram in a parking lot, check this out: for 2016, the manufacturer will offer a limited-edition version called the 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport.

Production will be limited to 2250 units, so you probably won’t see another one on the road very often.

How does it differ from a regular Ram 1500?

Let me start by stating the obvious: this truck is painted in a very eye-searing shade of yellow.

Unique options have also been fitted to this model, like a vented hood, chromed dual exhaust tips and 22-inch wheels—or 20 inchers if you get a 4x4 version. Black stickers are then applied onto said hood.

Since it is based on the Sport version, the Ram Stinger comes with a 5.7-litre HEMI engine producing 395 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Canadian pricing haven’t been announced yet—in fact, we are still waiting to see if this model will even be sold here—but the regular Ram 1500 Sport starts at $42,995.

The use of aluminium in pickup trucks is controversial. Ford will be the first one to use it in the upcoming 2015 F-150, and GM will soon follow suit with its Silverado/Sierra duo. This has started a lot of heated debates about repair costs, since aluminium panels are harder to …
