2016 Buick Encore Sport Touring: The Buick For Those Who Are Always Late
While the Buick Encore is a popular SUV, some of us think that it could use a little more power; when the vehicle is loaded with 4 people and their luggage, the turbocharged mill’s 148 horsepower are somewhat stretched to their limit.
To solve this issue Buick announced that for 2016 there will be a new version of the Encore; dubbed Sport Touring, this vehicle will have an all-new engine. This new powerplant only share its displacement (1.4 litres) with the base-model’s. The Sport Touring now boasts 153 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, which turns the front wheels (or the optional AWD system) through a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Apart from the engine, this model features:
- A rear wing
- 18-inch aluminium wheels
- Body-coloured door handles
Finally, the 2016 Buick Encore Sport Touring offers the start/stop feature, which shuts off the engine at stoplights, in an effort to reduce fuel consumption.
