Cosmetic Updates For The 2016 BMW Z4

The latest iteration of the BMW Z4 (designation E89) has been around since 2009. In the automotive industry, we normally expect a restyling every 5 years.

While there haven’t been any major updates for 2014 (or for 2015 for that matter…), BMW announced that they would offer something new for their roadster.

What do you think BMW had in store for its iconic car? A brand-new engine? New lines more in tune with the rest of the brand’s lineup? A modern interior?

We hoped for any or all of these answers, but no; the only thing that changes for the 2016 model-year is the addition of a new colour. Those who choose to fit their 2016 Z4 with the M Sport package will have the option of having their car painted Estoril Blue, which wasn’t previously available. However, you may have seen it on the M235i or the M3, among others.
