A Nissan Juke For The Next Snowstorm

If you are looking for a vehicle that can drive through snow with ease, you will probably check out some 4WD vehicles. Typically, the more driven wheels your car has, the better it will fare in snow.

But what happens when there is simply too much snow? Well, if we are to believe Nissan, simply ditch said wheels and replace them with tracks.

The weird little vehicle that you see in the above pictures is the Nissan Juke Nismo RSnow, which has been built by Nissan as a safety vehicle for an ice drifting event in Finland. Using a regular Juke Nismo RS with all-wheel drive and a 218 horsepower turbocharged powerplant, the brand's engineers added a set of four Dominator tracks built by American Track Truck. To make sure they can turn without ripping the bodywork off, the front and rear bumpers had to be modified. The all-wheel drive computer was also reprogrammed. Even with the tracks, the Juke can still reach speeds of up to 100 km/h.

Obviously, you can't walk into a dealership and buy one of these, but we can't help but wonder how it would handle a snowstorm...
