Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4: Homage to Pirelli

Since the sixties, Lamborghini has trusted only one brand for their tires: Pirelli. The very first Miura that came out of Sant’Agata Bolognese was shod with Pirelli Cinturato, the Countach used Pirelli P7, and so on.

To mark this partnership, the Italian manufacturer decided to create a special edition of their latest supercar. Available in coupe and roadster versions, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition will be available in a slew of colours: Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater (yellow, red, white, black, light grey and dark grey, in case your Italian is a little rusty). On all cars, a small red pinstripe is painted on the roof, and said roof is black. If you choose a Rossa Mars (red) Aventador, the decorative stripe will be yellow... err, Giallo Spica. The tires (Pirelli P Zero, of course) are also decorated with contrasting paint.

The cockpit of the Aventador is black, and it features contrast stitching. The engine and drivetrain are unchanged, which means the 691-horsepower V12 is still powering all four wheels.

Production will be limited, but this is a unique opportunity to own a car designed to highlight its tires by turning them into smoke.
