Ferrari Sergio: New And Already Sold Out

At the Geneva Auto Show last year, Ferrari showcased a concept styled by Pininfarina called the Sergio. The vehicle was quite unique, since it had a style that was very different from the 458 Italia on which it was based: it was much rounder, and it did not have any sort of windshield.

During a Ferrari celebration in the UAE, the manufacturer unveiled the production version of the Sergio (which is NOT named after Mr. Marchionne, but to honour Sergio Pininfarina, the genius stylist who penned some of the most beautiful Ferraris ever built). This particular car was to be delivered to a customer, and the total production will be limited to only 6 units. In typical Ferrari fashion, all of them have already been sold.

Based on the 458 Spyder, the Sergio features completely new bodywork. The six buyers had the opportunity to choose their individual colours and leathers, but the overall shape won’t change, which is a good thing, since it was designed by Pininfarina.

The car features see-through vents in the hood, a unique rear diffuser and a unique front fascia.

To power the car, a 4.5-litre V8 has been chosen. It now produces 605 horsepower and can propel the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds.
