2015 Dodge Challenger Pricing Announced

After yesterday's leak regarding the price of the 2015 Challenger Hellcat, Dodge didn't really have any choice but to release the complete pricing for the full lineup of its muscle car.

The least expensive way to get into a 2015 Challenger is the SXT model. With a 305 HP Pentastar V6 and an 8-speed automatic gearbox, it starts at $28,995.

Then comes the SXT Plus, which adds 20-inch wheels, performance brakes, tires and suspension, a rear decklid spoiler and a backup camera. Inside, you get leather seats, the 8.4 inch Uconnect screen, and an Alpine sound system. This package is sold for $28,995.

For those of you who can't possibly fathom a big Mopar coupe without a HEMI engine, Dodge offers the R/T. It is equipped with the same features as the SXT, but replace its V6 with a 5.7 litre HEMI mill pumping out 372 HP. This one is sold for $36,955. The R/T Plus is also available, adding the same options the SXT Plus did.

We now arrive at the Scat Pack model. Featuring a 6.4 litre HEMI with its 485 HP, it also offers a sport exhaust and a high performance suspension, in addition to all the ''Plus'' equipment. You will need to find $45,995 to get into one of those.

For 2015, the SRT 392 model is no longer sitting on the top of the food chain. Still, with its 485 HP, its Hellcat-inspired styling and its huge Brembo brakes, it is a very tempting model.

But the star of the show is the Challenger SRT Hellcat. With regards to its unbelievable performance and ethereal horsepower figures, we were anxious that its price would also be absurdly high. But with a MSRP of $63,995, it is a strikingly good bargain, considering all the high-performance vehicles you can humiliate with it on a dragstrip!
