The Audi A7 Gets a Facelift

Audi is one of the major players in the 4-door coupe segment. To make sure the coupe/sedan/hatchback/wagon A7 (and its high-performance version, the S7) is still competitive in today’s market, the German manufacturer has unveiled an updated look for the 2015 European version. The North-American model should follow shortly.

The most notable aspect is the front of the car. While it is not revolutionary, it now fits the corporate look (similar to the Audi A3 and R8 LMX, for example) more closely. The headlights are now equipped with Audi’s typical LEDs. The taillights are also more modern, and even the exhaust tips are new.

Engine-wise, the Europeans are lucky: they can choose from five different powerplants! From the 3 liter 218 HP TDI mill (available with front-wheel drive) to the mighty twin-turbo 4L V8 now pumping out 450 HP (available in the S7), everyone will be able to find their perfect combination of power and economy.

Inside, the MMI system is back, now with an available LTE internet connection. A heads-up display is also still offered, as well as Audi’s night vision.

Deliveries start this fall, at least for our friends on the other side of the Atlantic. We will have to wait a little longer to feast our eyes on the new A7…
