Ford Recalls the Escape Over Door Problems

There are very few things that could potentially be worse than a door opening while you drive.

If you own a 2013-2014 Ford Escape, this may happen to you.

On these SUVs, a misalignment between the door panels and the exterior handle may cause the rod connecting the two pieces to bend. If this happens, the door could be very hard to close, or even open without warning while you drive. As you can probably guess, this could be dangerous…

Ford will contact the 600,000 affected owners before the end of May, and will inspect all their vehicle's door handle mechanisms. If a problem is found, they will repair it free of charge.

This is another important recall for Ford, but in this case, it’s better to be safe than sorry!
