The 2015 GMC Yukon / Chevrolet Tahoe / Chevrolet Suburban: We're Driving Them This Week

Full-size SUVs are a big money-maker for car companies, and no one has dominated the scene quite like GM with its Chevrolet Tahoe/GMC Yukon pair.  The 2015 editions of each have been completely updated (along with the GMC Suburban), and The Car Guide will be driving them this week in Napa Valley, California, and, of course, Lake Tahoe, to see how much each has been improved.

We've already seen both models at auto shows in Detroit and Chicago, but this is our first chance to get behind the wheel.  We're eager to sample the new, direct-injected 5.3-liter V8 that will be standard in each SUV, as we were impressed with its performance in the also-redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra full-size pickups.  More intriguing, however, is the promise of a revised passenger compartment for these large sport-utility vehicles, which should offer quieter and more comfortable accommodations for up to nine passengers.
