2015 Honda Fit Debuts in Detroit

Honda has debuted the 2015 in Detroit during the North American International Auto Show.

The new Fit gets an all-new platform and saved 25 kilograms in the process. It sees a bump in power to 130 horsepower (up from 117hp) and retains a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine but matted to a CVT transmission.

The overall dimensions are a hair shorter but Honda managed to give the occupants even more interior space than the outgoing model.

The Japanese brand is hoping the Fit will help boost overall Canadian Honda sales with perhaps as many as 15,000 units. 9512 Fits were sold in Canada in 2013.

The larger Honda Civic remained Canada’s best-selling car for a sixteenth year in a row in 2013.
