Hyundai and Kia Reimbursing Customers

Following false advertising which announced a higher fuel economy than it actually was, the South Korean manufacturers Hyundai and Kia will pay a fee to their affected North American customers.

In total, more than 600,000 Hyundai owners will receive $353 USD, while 300,000 Kia owners will receive $667 USD.

Affected customers may opt for discounts in the form of "fuel cards", an amount equivalent to that which has been agreed between the two parties.
