Two vehicles are selected by a jury of 49 U.S. and Canadian journalists, among them are Car Guide’s very own Jacques Duval, Denis Duquet and Marc Lachapelle.

Initially there were 28 cars and 18 trucks considered for the coveted title. Shortly thereafter the jury eliminates all but three in each category which become finalists.

The final three cars are:

Cadillac CTS
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Mazda3

The final three trucks are:

Acura MDX
Chevrolet Silverado
Jeep Grand Cherokee

The names of winners will be announced next Monday, January 13.
