Ford Fiesta wins 2013 Women World Car of the Year

A jury of 18 female automotive journalists just elected the Ford Fiesta as the "2013 Women World Car of the Year".

The journalists evaluated many aspects of the contenders including their quality / price ratio, safety equipment, appearance, convenience for children and their energy consumption.

The Ford Fiesta equipped with the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine won all the categories, beating out the Mazda CX-5 and Range Rover for the overall winner.

The winners by category:

Economic car: Ford Fiesta
Family Car: Audi A4 Allroad
Luxury Cars: Range Rover
Sports car: Porsche Boxster S
SUV: Mazda CX-5
