Volkswagen XL1: Production Model Unveiled in Geneva

If it were any more aerodynamic, it would kill you!

Following in the footsteps of the 1-Liter, L1 and XL1 concepts, the final version of the Volkswagen XL1 will be unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show.

It measures 3,888 mm in length, 1,665 mm in width and a mere 1,153 mm in height.

Coefficient of 0.189

The XL1’s aerodynamics will blow you away – literally. Its drag coefficient is just 0.189. They achieved this by creating a narrow rear track and replacing the exterior rearview mirrors with cameras.

Ubiquitous plastic and carbon fibre makes the vehicle’s components very light.

  • Body: 230 kg
  • Electric system: 80 kg
