Review: 2016 Mazda MX-5

Call it what you want, but the Mazda MX-5 Miata has been the unmistakable best bang for your buck roadster on the market over the last 25 years.

Modeled after the famed MGB and Lotus roadsters of yesteryear, not much has changed about the drop-top Mazda over three generations, sticking to a recipe of low weight, low power and a responsive chassis.

And now Mazda has launched the 2016 MX-5, a car that is closer to its 25-year-old first generation ancestor than ever.

The Motoring TV team was in California for the launch of the fourth-gen MX-5 to get the scoop.

This segment originally appeared on Episode 24 of Motoring 2015.
