Pricing Announced for the 2017 Nissan Qashqai

The Nissan Qashqai subcompact crossover, popular in Europe and arriving in Canada, will retail for $19,998 before freight and delivery charges when it goes on sale this spring.

The Qashqai is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 141 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque, matched to a six-speed manual or an optional continuously variable automatic. An all-wheel drivetrain is also available.

For just under $20K, the 2017 Nissan Qashqai S with front-wheel drive and a manual gearbox includes seating for five, air conditioning, heated front seats, a 5.0-inch touchscreen with rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity and Siri hands-free communication. The version equipped with the automatic transmission will be listed at $21,998, while the AWD Qashqai S will retail for $24,198.

The SV, SL and SL Platinum editions will cost $24,598, $29,498 and $32,198, respectively. Available features in these trim levels includes leather upholstery, an intelligent key, a power driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, navigation as well as the usual advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and lane change prevention.
