2015 Frankfurt Motor Show - Mercedes-Benz Announces Its Convertible S-Class

Mercedes-Benz has a long and storied history of luxurious convertibles; from the 1957 300 SL to today's SL 65 AMG, the brand has always known exactly how to create exceptional vehicles that can fold their roof down.

When the 2015 S-Class coupe was launched, we were told that this was now the brand's most luxurious vehicle. We assumed that a convertible was on the way, and more than one spy shot confirmed that there was one being tested last winter.

The manufacturer finally announced that we will finally be able to see the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Convertible at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

Obviously, the car will become ''The World's Most Comfortable Convertible'', according to Mercedes-Benz. We expected nothing less.

Currently, we can see the luxurious car's interior, fitted with rich leathers, sumptuous wood trim and metal accents. The soft roof is perfectly fitted behind the seats, and the manufacturer teases a variant of the Airscarf system (which shoots hot air at the passenger's neck to keep them warm).

This is the first S-Class convertible in 44 years, the last one being the 1971 W111 shown above.
