A “Do It Yourself” Recall From Chrysler

Following the wireless hacking of a Cherokee infotainment system last week, Chrysler proceeded to recall 1.4M vehicles in the US in order the fix the security flaw of the onboard computer.

However, the owners themselves will address this recall. Chrysler will send to them a USB key containing the update, along with a step-by-step guide in order to assist them.

The update can also be directly downloaded from Chrysler’s website.

With cars being more and more computerized, it won’t be surprising if we see an increasing number of computer security issues.
