The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Has A New Face

Modernized only two short years ago, the Chevrolet Silverado was nonetheless due for a styling update, at least according to the brand’s stylists. The truck will receive a few tweaks…and a new nose.

The first difference that our eyes notice is obviously the Silverado’s new nose. There are less chrome strips in the grille, LED lights have been added and the shiny centre part has been painted. The final result is… different, but there will be buyers who will like it, I’m sure.

Apart from the new front, Chevrolet has said that the eight-speed transmission currently found only in the 6.2-litre equipped models will now equip more trucks. The manufacturer hasn't elaborated on whether that means all engines will receive this gearbox or just one of the two (either the 5.3-litre V8 or the base-model V6). Regardless, the Silverado’s fuel economy will certainly be improved.

The latest version of the MyLink infotainment system will also be fitted to the vehicle, while Android and Apple fans will now be able to integrate their phone with it.
