Audi's Future Includes New SUVs

Audi just published their plans for the next few years, and unsurprisingly, it includes a lot of SUVs.

First of all, we learn that a new model will be launched shortly. Named the Q8, it will sit on top of the brand’s lineup and should be sportier-looking than the Q7, even though it will be based on the same platform. Its design should remind us of the Prologue concept, and it will rival the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and the BMW X6.

There will also be a new sporty SUV in the midsize category. It will use an electric motor and should use the Q7 platform, we expect it to show up around 2018.

Finally, the manufacturer has once more stated that the Q1 will be built. This crossover will be shown next year and is set to steal sales from the BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
