Ford's 2015 Shelby GT350 Will Be VERY Limited

If you were eagerly expecting to write a check and sit in one of the first Mustang Shelby GT350s, I have good and bad news for you: The good news is that the car will be available in dealerships before the end of the year; this means that there will be a few 2015 models available.

The bad news: there will only be a handful of them.

For 2015, only 100 GT350s will be built. Of this number, 50 will come with the Technology package (including the dual-zone climate control, GPS, leather seats with electric adjustments and a seven-speaker audio system), while the rest will be equipped with the Track package, meaning they will receive thicker front shocks, additional cooling for the engine, transmission and diff, and additional chassis strengthening.

If you planned on getting your hands on a 2015 GT350R, it’s even worse; only 37 will be built (why precisely 37? In 1965, only 37 coupes were built by Carroll Shelby for homologation purposes). On these cars, there are no option packages; they all come standard with a limited-slip diff, 19-inch carbon-fibre wheels and a very aggressive aerodynamic bodykit.
