Land Rover Will Rebuild Your Old Landy

Jaguar Land Rover is currently in a retro vibe: after Jaguar announced the creation of their Heritage division (which will restore your old Jag to showroom condition) and the Heritage Drive program (an initiative that enables people to live their dream of driving an historic English racecar), it seems that the brand’s sister company Land Rover is opening their own versions of these divisions.

With the creation of the Heritage branch, Land Rover will be able to offer parts and service for a wide array of vehicles which have been out of production for more than a decade. They also announced that the legendary Defender will be supported for the next 15 years by Land Rover directly, at which point it will be covered by the Heritage division.

Land Rover’s Heritage Drive program has also been announced. If you wanted to drive an older Landy on an off-road course, this is a perfect opportunity. The brand will use a 200-acre obstacle course in Warwickshire, England.

These new programs make a lot of sense: according to Land Rover, approximately 70% of all the vehicles they have made since 1948 are still running today, which is a testament to the passion of their owners.
