The Next Supra Will Be More Expensive Than A Corvette

If you expected the next Toyota Supra to be a low-cost vehicle, you will be disappointed; according to Car & Driver, it will cost more than a Chevrolet Corvette. Starting at $59,215 here in Canada, the Corvette is the best value in terms of performance per dollar, hands down.

To anyone who follows the industry, this was probably already a given. The previous generation Supra had a sticker price of between $30,000 and $50,000 USD. It’s a safe bet that the new one will start at around $60,000 USD and $70,000 Canadian.

Toyota’s new sports car is being developed in partnership with BMW, so it brings up the question of how much it’ll compete with a similar vehicle – the BMW Z4, which currently starts at $54,300.

Both vehicles are scheduled to be introduced in 2017.
