Mr. Bean's McLaren F1 Is Up For Grabs

Most of you know who Mr. Bean is; the English buffoon is known for his antics over the last 3 decades.

However, I’m sure many of you didn’t know that the actor who portrays Bean, Rowan Atkinson, is a true car aficionado; not only has he raced for a few seasons, he also owns one of the most sought-after cars on Earth, the McLaren F1.

Launched in 1994, the car was in production for 4 years. Only 106 units were ever built, and 72 were road-legal. When it was launched, the McLaren F1 became the fastest road car ever produced, with a top speed of 387 km/h.

In 1997, Mr. Atkinson took delivery of a brand-new burgundy F1, paying around one million dollars for it. Over the years, the actor added around 80,000 km to the car’s odometer, which is a lot for a supercar. Today, this car could be yours for the low, low price of $12,000,000.

It may seem like a lot, but this car has quite a few incentives; because of its low production numbers, McLaren F1 prices have been increasing significantly in the last years. This F1 has also been crashed twice, but that works in its favour; the last one cost over $1.8 million, which basically meant it was rebuilt from the ground up. Finally, this is one of the few one-owner F1s in existence.
