Meet The Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo

Those of you who spend the holidays playing videogames will be happy to learn that since Christmas morning Mazda has been offering its concept created for the Vision Gran Turismo program in Gran Turismo 6, available on the PlayStation 3.

Vision Gran Turismo is an initiative created by Sony that invites manufacturers to imagine and design a vehicle that represents the future of their brand. Futuristic technologies are dreamed up, and most of the unveiled vehicles are race cars.

The latest car manufacturer to join the fray, Mazda enters the arena with a car that is reminiscent of the legendary 787B, which is the only Japanese vehicle to ever win the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Named LM55, this new Mazda also features the KODO design language, which now adorns every new product to come out of Hiroshima. The car's engine wasn't mentioned, but we hope that, just like its ancestor, the LM55 features a rotary powerplant that can rev to stratospheric limits.

If you want to take this Mazda for a spin (and you already own Gran Turismo 6 and a PS3), you can download it for free under the Vision Gran Turismo tab.
