Volkswagen Golf R Buyers, Ready Your Checkbook…

We know that Volkswagen will sell their ultimate sporty Golf, the R, on our continent. This little racecar is powered by a turbocharged 2-litre mill developing 290 horsepower, goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds on its way to a 250 km/h top speed and is equipped with the 4MOTION AWD setup paired with the DSG six-speed automatic. For even more incisive handling, an adaptive suspension also comes with it.

If you have decided that you MUST get your hands on one of these cars, know that Volkswagen will start accepting orders January 8. The first 500 cars will all be the same: Lapiz Blue in color, they will receive 19-inch wheels, GPS, the Fender sound system and assisted parking. Even better, each buyer will receive an engraved watch, a carbon-fibre key ring (for added door-unlocking performance) and a certificate that states their car was one of the first 500 built.

The 2015 Golf R will start at $39,090 US, and all you need to secure one is a $500 deposit. Act now!
