One Last Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

It has been confirmed numerous times that the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is on its way out; recently, the manufacturer itself confirmed that the car would not be renewed. However, the rally-bred car will go out with a bang.

Mitsubishi has confirmed that it will not be replacing the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and 2015 will be the last model year for the sporty version of the Japanese brand’s compact sedan.  The current model dates back to 2008 and after seven years without any hints of a successor, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to many.

That said, the news isn’t all bad. According to Don Swearingen, executive vice president for sales at Mitsubishi in North America, the 2015 model will feature numerous upgrades including more horsepower, suspension upgrades and numerous other tweaks that are sure to keep enthusiasts happy.
