Subaru Viziv GT Unveiled For Gran Turismo

It’s now Subaru’s turn to show us their Vision GT offering, which will be available in the latest Gran Turismo game. As a reminder, Vision GT is an initiative by Polyphony Digital that asked car manufacturers to design a vehicle that would represent the future of their respective brands, styling and technology-wise.

The first thing that immediately pops into mind when we look at the car is how gorgeous it looks. With aggressive lines, LED headlights and a huge rear wing, this car has an intimidating presence.

To (virtually) power the Viziv GT, Subaru chose to implement a hybrid system: the 591 horsepower and 593 pound-feet of torque come from a turbocharged 2-litre engine and three electric motors (two in the back and one in the front). Each rear motor is individually controlled, which gives the car impressive handling characteristics. With massive use of carbon fibre, the whole vehicle weighs only 1380 kg.

Those of you who already have a copy of Gran Turismo will be able to buy the Viziv GT in-game, or you can get it by winning a specific event.
