A Brazilian-Flavored Fiat Concept

The Sao Paulo Auto Show might not be the world’s most prominent automotive gathering in the world, but that didn’t stop Fiat from launching a new concept there recently.

If the lines remind you of a Land Rover Evoque, the lateral profile is something else entirely: after the rear doors, the panels flatten out to become like a pickup truck’s bed, making this vehicle part sedan, part truck, part crossover and part SUV chimaera. The back is even weirder, since it features uneven doors and a fastback-type glass panel.

While we can be reasonably sure that we won’t ever see this vehicle going down the road, these styling exercises are great for the designers to show what they can do: while the front of the Fiat FCC4 is somewhat reminiscent of the Jeep Cherokee, the concept keeps its own distinctive look.
