Ferrari Celebrates 60 Years In America

Shortly after resigning from his position as CEO of Ferrari, Luca Di Montezemolo declared that the last milestone he would celebrate with the brand would be the 60th anniversary of its arrival in North America. For this occasion, 10 cars will be built. They will be heavily modified versions of the F12 Berlinetta, and we know that they will be painted in the same colors as Ferrari’s North America Racing Team cars.

We don’t yet know a lot about those models, but we do know that they have all been sold to American customers. North America is still the largest market for Ferrari, and 6 of the world’s biggest collectors of cars from Maranello are located in the United States.

The new cars will be unveiled at an event in Los Angeles during a celebration. Di Montezemolo will present the first one, before officially handing over the reins of the company to Sergio Marchionne. The next morning, FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
