Making Sick Children’s Dreams Come True at Drive for Smiles

On September 21, The Car Guide will take part in “Drive for Smiles.” Organized by the Starlight Children’s Foundation, this one-day event will allow sick children to take a ride in exotic cars and leave their health troubles behind for a short while.

Since 1989, Starlight Children's Foundation has enhanced the lives of countless seriously ill children and their families across Canada by offering fun activities and events to help take their minds off the worries of their day-to-day lives.

During this special event, our journalist Sylvain Raymond will act as a chauffeur and take sick kids for a ride in a Porsche Panamera generously provided by Porsche Canada. The goal is to provide the children with a memorable experience while introducing them to the world of automobile journalism. We will also distribute some autographed copies of the 2015 Guide de l’auto. The highlight of the day will be a few laps on the ICAR circuit aboard this exceptional vehicle, an experience that promises to be very exciting for all.

This unique opportunity is the chance to make a dream come true for these children who, despite their illnesses, continue to dream of life’s little pleasures. The Car Guide is proud to be able to make a difference in their lives.
