More Seats For the Land Rover Discovery Sport

While we don’t know much about Land Rover’s new SUV, we now can confirm that there will be a seven-seat version of it.

Since its announcement a few months ago, information has been scarce about the new vehicle from Land Rover, the Discovery Sport. Recent shots of a prototype driving around Halewood, UK (where the new truck will be produced) have a peel-away design which show an interior shot, and we can immediately spot the third row of seats. According to a Land Rover spokesman, this row will be optional, and will allow customers to modify their cargo space according to their needs. The new vehicle will also be more fuel-efficient than the other SUVs in the 5-seater segment.

More information will be available shortly, since the Discovery Sport will be sold sometime in 2015. Note that it won’t replace the current Land Rover Discovery (which is sold here under the LR4 moniker).
