Polaris Aims For The Future With The Slingshot

The majority of people, when the time comes to celebrate their 60th anniversary, choose to spend the day relaxing and reminiscing about the past.

Polaris did the exact opposite on the anniversary of their sixth decade in existence by unveiling an all-new futuristic vehicle aimed at thrill-seekers looking for an adrenaline rush. Say hi to the new Slingshot!

With the arrival of the Campagna V13R, the market for extreme driver's vehicles is rapidly expanding. Polaris made sure to be part of it by launching this fun-focused three-wheeler.

Power comes from a DOHC 2.4L engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Considering that this mill generates 173 HP and that the whole vehicle only weighs 770 kg (1770 lbs), there is no doubt that it will be fairly quick! Standard equipment includes 18-inch wheels up front, a roll bar made of forged aluminium, ABS brakes and a traction control/stability control system.

We may not yet know the exact specs of this roadster, but we know that with a starting price of $19,99 US, it may give the Campagna T-Rex some serious competition!
